In the last 3 pageants of Miss Colombia 2009, Miss Earth 2009 and Miss International 2009; my predictions turned worse than previous predictions back in September and October. OK! Let's take a look!
MISS COLOMBIA 2009
Begin with Miss Colombia 2009; I got
7 out of 10 (or 70%) and my personal winner - Miss Bolívar,
Natalia Navarro Galvis who is actually
Señorita Colombia 2009-2010. Even, the remainders in my top 3 (Cundinamarca, Mata) also became the first and second runners-up. Thanks to Natalia because she helped me to keeping my streak of Latin winners for next year Miss Universe: Ximena Navarrete (
Mexico), Marelisa Gibson (
Venezuela) and Mariana Vicente (
Puerto Rico). I love my Latin girls ¡Arriba!
MISS EARTH 2009
From November 17 to 23, 2009; I was in Vung Tau to attend Mrs. World 2009. Miss Earth is always unpredictable. I only got
11 out of 16 (or 68.75%) but 3 contenders in my top 4 (Philippines, Venezuela and Spain) were all became Miss Air, Miss Water and Miss Fire. BTW, congratulations to Brazil for its second Miss Earth crown!
MISS INTERNATIONAL 2009
In my latest prediction for Miss International 2009, didn't choose a winner because it's very hard to choose only one winner between these 5 contestants: Brazil, India, Mexico, Philippines and Venezuela. And the final result,
Anagabriela Espinoza became the second Miss International from Mexico (the first one was Priscila Perales in 2007). I got
10 out of 15 (or 66.66%), it's recently my worst prediction. I think this year result of Miss International is a bit disgusting: no Black/African in top 15 while some favorites are from Colombia, Martinique; Eun Mi Seo (Korea) and Chloe Beth Morgan (United Kingdom) are not favorites but placed as runners-up. It reminds me of the 2004 and 2006 editions when this pageant held in the mainland China when runners-up were unpredicted surprises with Amy Lynne Holbrook (USA, 1st runner-up 2004); Olga Kypriotou (Greece, 2nd runner-up 2004); Mayté Sanchez González (Panama, 1st runner-up 2006) and Jang Yoon-seo (Korea, 2nd runner-up 2006). Will it happen again in Shanghai next year? ¡Viva México!
