
Miss Ecuador, 23-year old Olga Alava, was crowned Miss Earth 2011 on December 3rd, during an event held at the University of the Philippines Theatre. Alava, who was crowned by last year’s winner Nicole Faria from India, is the first Miss Earth titleholder from her country.
Crowned Miss Earth-Air 2011 was Miss Brazil Driely Bennettone; Miss Earth-Water 2011 is Miss Philippines Athena Mae Imperial; and Miss Earth-Fire 2011 is Miss Venezuela, Caroline Medina.
The top 8 finalists: Mexico, Crimea, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Zimbabwe.
The top 16 semi finalists: Taiwan, Sweden, Paraguay, Thailand, Portugal, Japan, Ukraine, and Slovenia.
85 delegates competed in the 11th edition of the Miss Earth competition.
