Veronica Popovici (21, 1.75m) was crowned Miss Moldova 2011 at the conclusion of the national finals held in the capital city of Chisinau on May 26. She will represent Moldova in Miss World 2011 in London, England on November 6. (The Times of Beauty)

(Global Beauties) PANAMA CITY, May 26 – Sheldry Nazareth Sáez, a 19-year old student of marketing from Herrera, Chitré, was crowned Miss Universe Panama 2011 during the Miss Panama pageant held May 26th at the Anayansi Theatre in the ATLAPA Convention Center.

Sáez, who also works as a professional model, stands 1.71 m tall and will represent Panama during the upcoming Miss Universe competition to take place in Sao Paulo, Brazil, next September.

Crowned as Miss World Panama was 23-year old Irene del Carmen Núñez, who represented Veraguas. Irene stands 1.73 m tall and holds a degree in Hospitality administration. She will compete at the Miss World 2011 pageant to be held in London, UK, in November.

The 1st runner-up or “virreina” was Keity Mendieta Britton, Miss Panamá Centro. Completing the top 5 were Miss Bocas del Toro (Marielena González), Miss Los Santos (Marisel Medina) and Miss Panamá Este, Jelenska García.

Sáez also won the Miss Photogenic award. 12 women competed in the pageant, organized by a new team headed by former Miss Panama World Marisela Moreno.

Former Miss Universe Amelia Vega was among the panel of judges, and also performed on stage a single off her new CD. The night was marked by a tribute to the very first Miss Panama, Elzibir Malek who represented the country during Miss Universe 1952.

Sheldry Nazaret Sáez Bustavino (19, 1.71m, Chitré), fue coronada Miss Universo Panamá 2011 durante el concurso de Miss Panamá 2011 final celebrada en el Teatro Anayansi del Centro de Altapa Convención en la ciudad de Panamá. Ella representará a Panamá en Miss Universo 2011 en Sao Paulo, Brasil en septiembre próximo.

En el mismo evento, Irene del Carmen Quintero Núñez (23, 1,73 m, Ciudad de Panamá) fue coronada Miss Mundo Panamá 2011. Ella representará a Panamá en el Miss Mundo 2011 en Londres, Inglaterra el 6 de noviembre.

Keity Mendieta terminó en el primer finalista. María Elena González, Daniela Moreno y García Jelenska completado el Top 6. Miss Fotogénica fue Sáez Sheldry, Mejor Cuerpo fue Irene Núñez, Miss Amistad fue Jelenska García.
